Vaccine safety and effectiveness
The vaccines have met strict standards of safety, quality and effectiveness set out by the independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Get vaccinated
The following groups of people are being offered vaccination by either GPs, community pharmacies or at regional vaccination centres.

Vaccination at a community pharmacy
To be vaccinated at a community pharmacy, you must be registered with a GP in Northern Ireland and be in one of the following eligible groups:

-aged 35 years and over at 30 April 2021
-health and social care workers (aged 30 or over at 31 March 2021)
-clinically extremely vulnerable (CEV) individuals (aged 18 years or over, must have shielding letter) – those aged 18 to 29 years who are yet to receive any vaccine are not eligible for vaccination through community pharmacy unless they are in the CEV category

Pneumonia vaccination Service

What Pneumonia Vaccination Service?

This vaccination helps protect against pneumococcal pneumonia.

The service may be suitable for you if you:

  • Are a child of at least 2 years old, or an adolescent or adult
  • Haven’t had an allergic reaction to a vaccine before
  • Don’t have a medical condition that affects your immune system
  • Don’t have a fever on the day of your appointment

Common symptoms of pneumonia include:

    • cough – which may be dry, or produce thick yellow, green, brown or blood-stained mucus (phlegm)
    • difficulty breathing – your breathing may be rapid and shallow, and you may feel breathless, even when resting
    • rapid heartbeat
    • high temperature
    • feeling generally unwell
    • sweating and shivering
    • loss of appetite
    • chest pain – which gets worse when breathing or coughing

Covid Test Home Kit

Purchase a home sample collection kit at Fullarton pharmacy which will then be sent to our accredited laboratories for testing.

Our pioneering test for COVID-19 utilises PCR to accurately and reliably diagnose COVID-19, thus facilitating appropriate containment and reducing further spread of disease. Our test comprises two tests for COVID-19; one specific and one confirmatory as recommended by the WHO.

Our rapid testing service is used within the UK government’s national COVID-19 testing programme, with Randox responsible for up to 17% of the total tests carried out.
